The interior design for The SpringHill Company corporate offices in Los Angeles is a story about embodying and amplifying their mission – empowerment. Founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter, The SpringHill Company is more than a brand. It has become a culture-defining voice for a generation of thought leaders, where people come to connect, dream, and bring vision into form. The SpringHill Company was ready for an elevated space to host a revolving door of globally renowned artists and athletes.
Already occupying a large Class A creative office space in Kilroy’s Columbia Square, The SpringHill Company expanded into the neighboring building growing its floorplan to 17,000 SF of private offices, communal work areas, and concept meeting rooms. Always humming with production, content creation, and product & campaign development, they needed both collaborative and quiet spaces. Our work started with a thoughtful programming strategy with a deep dive into the culture of the company to create a premium members club vibe.
With every room named after an acclaimed Black public figure, we took cues from both the celebrity and the room’s functional needs to create a mix of distinct personalities. The blue and black hues taken from Rashid Johnson’s lyrical “Bruise” anchored the entire space. The paintings conjure the feelings of the aftermath of COVID-19, a reckoning, and a time for cultural healing. The rich, cool moody color palette was paired with pops of Springhill Company’s signature red. A place to see and be seen, The SpringHill Company’s reimagined headquarters now align with its caliber of creativity, providing a design-driven environment made to uplift and inspire.
