We have a soft spot for bootstrapping entrepreneurs who persist in the face of saturated markets. When La Barba found us, this regional coffee brand from Utah was ready to grow into adulthood. Spanish for beard, the founder knew his company needed to evolve beyond his likeness to embrace an identity that could compete with the other beloved craft coffee producers by popping on the shelf. The challenge of this brief lay in the company’s dedication to small batch roasting, which means an ever changing array of beans. Ever Utah proud, we custom illustrated a family of icons rooted in the state’s wild natural beauty and executed a flexible packaging system that allows La Barba to introduce new beans in fast rotation.
