Aside from a total website refresh, one of the core goals of this project was to magnify their Seed to Table Curriculum— a decade-in-the-making, 120-lesson program that uses hands-on garden learning in science and nutrition for kindergarteners to fifth-graders in both public and private schools. We felt strongly that all children should have access to this type of learning, and a fresh new website and brand is the best way we know to get the word out.

We designed the logo with some Matisse influence, and a leaf depicting the shape of the hardworking hands that have sewn this project. We gave the illustrations a 2-dimensional feel to look like cut construction paper, and utilized a softly rounded, sans-serif type for an approachable and youthful vibe. Using a positive, uplifting voice, we made the language informative, but inspiring, never dry. We made sure the images popped with an experiential and tactile verdancy, showcasing the medium in which the children interact. Professional and warm, while retaining a fresh youth, we are proud to be a part of this foundation’s launch.
